Abstract
Exellancy Governor Sir John Harding's 5 minute-declaration is percieved meaningful yet insufficient to end the attacks under the "name" of church or EOKA as Archbishop (referred as Despotic Chief) Makarious asks for the right to determine their fate, and still terrorists continue their murders. Oddly received thing is that the terrorists attack security forces with bullets or bombs, and they cannot be catched. This issue is dealt skeptically as Yavuz asks in his colomn whether the security forces' approach is a reflection of English "tolerance" in politics.
