Abstract
The writer, İsmail Beyoğlu, talks about the propaganda attempts of the Communists in Küçük Kaymaklı/Omorphita and how the villagers responded to them. He says that the leaflets they distributed were calling the Turk Cypriots for struggle against the British administration. He specifically criticizes the reference to Ataturk in the leaflets and how the Communists tried to appropriate him for their fight against colonialism and struggle for independence. But, he claims, Ataturk ordered the oppression of Communism. He concludes that the Turkish workers should register with the Turkish labour federation and stay away from the Communists.
