Η μετα-θανάτια έρευνα έδειξε ότι, οι τρεις νεκροί Τούρκοι δολοφονήθηκαν για λόγους τιμής. Ένας εκ των νεκρών είχε επιτεθεί σε κορίτσι, γεγονός το οποίο δεν του το συγχώρεσαν στο χωριόκαι ήταν ο κύριος λόγος πίσω από την δολοφονία. Η γυναίκα του νεκρού το επιβεβαίωσε. Οι άλλοι δύο νεκροί δολοφονήθηκαν επειδή είδαν τον δολοφόνο.

Post-mortem investigation showed that the three diseased Turks were murdered for matters of honor. One of the diseased had attacked a young girl, something that it was never forgiven or forgotten in the village, and it is believed that it was the main reason behind the murder. The other two diseased Turks were eye-witnesses and were killed not to bring the murderer to light.
