Πολυάριθμοι Μουχτάρηδες και Αζάδες υπέβαλλαν την παραίτηση τους εκ νέου, επειδή η Κυβέρνηση αγνοεί "τις δίκαιες αξιώσεις του Ελληνικού Κυπριακού λαού". Γι' αυτό απορρίπτουν το αξίωμα και τάσσονται υπέρ του αγωνιζόμεου λαού, "ως γνήσια τέκνα της Εθναρχικής Εκκλησίας". Ο Μακάριος ο μοναδικός εκπρόσωπος του Κυπριακού αγώνα.
